Hebrews 6:9–20 shifts from warning to reassurance: we are beloved, and God is confident of “better things… things that accompany salvation” in us. When pressure hits, Scripture doesn’t call us back to striving—it calls us to flee for refuge and lay hold of hope, anchored in God’s unchangeable promise and oath. That hope is “an anchor of the soul…that enters behind the veil,” meaning it’s tethered to God’s presence, not our emotions. And the reason it holds is simple: Jesus has already entered for us as our Forerunner and High Priest forever.
