In Hebrews 9:16–28, we see the fullness of what Christ accomplished through His once-for-all sacrifice. The Old Covenant was dedicated with the blood of animals, but the New Covenant was established by the blood of the Son. Jesus did not merely forgive sin from a distance; He put sin away, cleansed the conscience, opened direct access to the Father, and released the inheritance of sons and daughters. Because Christ has appeared once to bear sin, we now live with confidence, boldness, and expectation as we await His appearing for the fullness of salvation.
