The writer of Hebrews uses the example of the Israelites in the wilderness and their inability to enter God's rest as a warning to believers. Do not make this same mistake! Although God tried to Father them in the wilderness, they lived with the lens of an orphan. Their inability to trust Him as their Father caused them to wander in the wilderness and miss the inheritance of the Promised Land. As believers, may we learn from their example and rest in our position of sonship.
