The Christian life is a race of faith that requires endurance, but our perseverance is not sustained by human determination alone. Building upon the faithful witnesses of Hebrews 11, we are called to lay aside every hindrance and keep our eyes upon Jesus, the Author and Finisher of faith. Jesus endured the cross out of love for the Father and for us, accomplishing our redemption and revealing the love that strengthens us to remain faithful. As we grow in knowing His love, our love for Him becomes the motivation to continue trusting and obeying, even when following Him is costly.
