Hebrews 5:11-14
From Dependence to Discernment, Hebrews 5:11-14

In Hebrews 5:11-14, the writer pauses to give both a rebuke and an invitation to his audience. He wants to take them into the deeper things of Christ - but states that instead of being able to teach the basic doctrines to others, they are constantly needing to be fed the milk of the Word. This admonition is for us as well. Too often believers are dependent on others instead of developing their own relationship with the Lord and His Word - and applying it in their lives. Knowledge is not the mark of maturity - discernment is - and discernment comes from the application of the Word in our personal lives
