Hebrews 10:1–18 reveals the glory of the finished work of Jesus Christ. The old covenant sacrifices could remind people of sin, but they could never remove sin from the conscience or bring the worshiper into completed nearness with God. Through the once-for-all offering of His body, Jesus has sanctified us, perfected us forever, and established the new covenant where sins are remembered no more. In Christ, we no longer live striving to be accepted; we live as sons and daughters brought near to the Father.
