Moses’ journey of faith began with parents who trusted God for him, but eventually their faith had to become his own. In Hebrews 11:23–29, we see Moses refuse the identity Egypt gave him, choose the people of God, value God’s purposes above Egypt’s treasures, endure by seeing the invisible God, and trust the blood of the Passover. Finally, Israel itself must step forward in faith through the Red Sea. This passage shows us that faith knows who God is, settles who we are, and responds to the way God has already provided.
