Hebrews 10:26–39 gives a sober warning against rejecting Christ and His once-for-all sacrifice, while also encouraging believers to remember the faith, endurance, and confidence they have already walked in. This passage is not written to make sincere believers afraid every time they fail, but to keep pressured believers from drawing back from Christ and returning to what can never save. The writer calls us to hold fast, endure under pressure, and live by faith, knowing that we have a better and enduring possession in Christ and that we are not those who draw back, but those who believe to the saving of the soul.
